The Australian Rangeland Society Conference only comes round every two years, and now is your opportunity to sponsor, exhibit, register as a delegate or take the trifecta!
In 2017, the Conference is in Port Augusta: boasting sparkling gulf waters and the changing colours of the Flinders Ranges as a magnificent backdrop, Spring is a glorious time of year to visit. Running from 25-28 September, Port Augusta’s new exhibition centre – Central Oval Complex – will be a hub for an outstanding array of networking events, conference sessions and field trips.
The theme of Transition to Transformation will guide our broad range of speakers. The theme is very fitting with transformations at Port Augusta and Leigh Creek as local examples of communities finding new ventures. Register now to learn more about the challenges and opportunities facing our rangeland environments, industries and communities during a time of significant change.
Latest updates from the Organising Committee include:
- The Opening Keynote Speaker for the conference will be Mark Stafford Smith addressing the Conference theme of “Transition to Transformation”
- Registration is easy – you can do it by clicking here
- As always, interest in the conference field tours is high. Please note that the Arid Recovery overnight field trip is now full and the ‘Lines in the Landscape’ GeoTrain is also very popular – seats are limited for this tour so get in quick.
- Exhibitor registrations are building and our interactive trade exhibition “The Rangeland Muster”, open to the wider rangeland community, will be the premier networking event.
