Do you have an innovative rangelands project that you would like to undertake?  Although many people apply for an ARS Award to attend Conferences or meetings, did you know that they can also be used to carry out rangelands research?

Applications will be considered by Council at the first scheduled regular Council Meeting after 30 November 2022, to be granted for work carried out in 2023. Applications must be submitted on the form entitled “Application Form for Travel Grant or Scholarship” which can be downloaded here.

Although no formal qualifications are required, applicants must have been financial members of the Australian Rangeland Society for more than twelve months.  Applications are particularly encouraged from persons who have little or no organisational support, and those who are early in their rangeland career

One or more Grants (maximum of $2000 each) can be awarded in a calendar year. The maximum amount available for distribution in a calendar year is $6000 based on relevance, innovation and merit.

Further information about the Awards is available on the ARS website at https://www.austrangesoc.com.au/awards.

Please contact the ARS Secretary Bob Shepherd (boblee.sheperd@bigpond.com) if you require any further details.
