Dionne Walsh, ARS President.  Email: dionne@rangeiq.com.au

For those who were unable to attend the AGM in May, my President’s report can be found in this edition of the Range Management Newsletter. I’d like to thank all the members of Council and the Publications Committee who contributed to the 2021 Annual Report that was tabled at the meeting. In particular, I’d like to acknowledge Don Burnside for his hard work liaising with our auditors to ensure that the report was completed and lodged in time.

Plans are well underway for the 22nd ARS Biennial Conference which will be held in Broome from the 18th to 22nd of September 2023. Matt Fletcher from Kununurra and Don Burnside are the contacts for the organising committee – keep an eye out for more information in coming months and get ready to submit your abstracts when the call comes.

I have been very fortunate to visit many parts of our beautiful rangelands in recent months, including a recent trip to the Queensland Channel Country. The floodwaters had just receded where I was, and the country was bursting into life. I managed to snap some photos highlighting the diversity of our rangelands and have uploaded them to the new photo portal on our website. If you have some photos you would be willing to share for use on our social media channels or website, please submit them using the link on our homepage at www.austrangesoc.com.au.

Best wishes to you all for the coming Spring / Dry Season.
