Guidelines for authors

All invited oral paper, lightning and poster presenters should read the Guidelines for Authors. This document has important information about the length and format of oral and lightning presentations and advice on preparing a poster presentation.ORAL PAPERS

Oral paper presenters MUST submit a 1,800 word paper for inclusion in the conference proceedings, no later than 21 July 2017.

POSTER AND LIGHTNING PRESENTATIONS

Lightning Presentations are a new format for contributions. Please refer to the Lightning Presentation Overview for more details on this format.

There is no obligation for authors of poster and lightning presentations, to submit a full paper. However, these authors may submit a 1,500 word paper for inclusion in the conference proceedings.

The Conference Program Committee has prepared a Word template to help you prepare your paper.

Full papers can be uploaded via the portal using the same login credentials from your abstract and delegate registration.

Technical Requirements for Presentations

The ARSC2017 computers will run MS PowerPoint 2013. Only MS PowerPoint (*.ppt or *.pptx) presentations with video formats will be accepted. The pre-installed font types available in MS Office 2013 should be used as standard font types.

If you use a Macintosh computer, please note that PowerPoint.mac and Keynote (*.key) presentations are not accepted. Even if you have transferred your presentation to a Windows format, you must check your presentation to ensure that it is fully compatible with the conference computers.

Session Room Equipment

Session rooms will contain the following basic equipment:

  • lectern with microphone, laptop and mouse
  • Chairperson table with microphone(s)
  • Screen displaying the PowerPoint presentation
  • Presentation timer
  • Roving microphone(s) for audience questions
