New members
We have welcomed three new members since the beginning of the year, and we hope they are enjoying what the Society has to offer in the way of resources and networking.
Complimentary members
We have 30 complimentary members, including Fellows, Chair of the PC and Editors of the Journal, Website, RMN, Social Media, Associate Editors of The Rangeland Journal, prize winners from the Longreach Conference, and the facilitator of a strategic planning workshop held for the Council and Publications Committee in Longreach after the Conference.
Developments with the membership renewal system
106 members were inadvertently sent automatic renewals on 30 December 2021, with 101 of those renewals being successful. An apology was sent to all those members for the abrupt and untimely action, but fortunately very few members have asked for the automatic renewal to be removed. Five (5) of those sent renewals need to be assisted in making payment (changed credit cards, changed passwords etc).
A further 32 members need to be sent manual renewals this month.
Seeking new members
Over the next month, invitations to join the ARS will be sent to all those who attended the Longreach Conference who are not already members (n = 248).
